PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description:

Lorne G. Seifert, LLC, is seeking a motivated Project Manager for our growing concrete business based in the Dillsburg office. The PM will primarily work on projects in the Central PA area.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for All Aspects of the Project in the Construction Phase from Pre-Construction Planning through Final Completion
  • Technical Documentation
  • Jobsite Communications with the Project Superintendent
  • Scheduling
  • Cost Analysis
Requirements:
  • Background in Project Management, Estimating, Job Costing/Billing and Project Scheduling
  • Concrete and Field Experience Preferred
  • Excel, Word, Outlook Proficient
  • Strong communication skills
  • Extreme Attention to Detail
  • Experience with Tight Deadlines
CONCRETE CARPENTER
Job Expectations:

The expectations for this position are to consistently complete the concrete carpentry work as required on each job to assure the complete satisfaction of the General Contractor. To maintain a good quality image for the company.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Completes all cast in place concrete form work, such as forming, footings, steps, walls, piers, slab construction joints, column boxes, etc.
  • Forms footers and bracing.
  • Ties rebar as necessary.
  • Places anchor bolts properly and assures they are clean to allow easy removal of nuts.
  • Does sawing and cutting as required.
  • Clean up of tools and debris at jobsite at the end of every day and at the completion of every job.
  • Assists in all laborer and cement mason tasks as necessary and when time allows.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by job supervisor.
  • Follows OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Follows the rules, regulations, policy, guidelines, etc. of Lorne G. Seifert, LLC.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently and repetitively.
  • Must have current CPR Certification and OSHA Certification.
  • Experience in the use of hand tools such as, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and the like.
  • Understanding of blueprints and able to do layout work.
  • Must be experienced and be able to use all the tools of their specific trade.
  • Have the ability to supervise crews and work professionally with General Contractors.
  • Have regular attendance and the ability to work overtime as required.
CEMENT MASON / SKILLED CEMENT MASON
Job Expectations:

The expectations for this position are to consistently complete the skilled concrete work as required on each job to assure the complete satisfaction of the General Contractor. To maintain a good quality image for the company.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Completes all cast in place concrete form work for slab on grade, slab on deck, construction joints, column boxes, expansion joints, plastic, wire, etc.
  • Placement of concrete.
  • Cement Mason: Must be able to float and straight edge concrete.
  • Skilled Cement Mason: Must be able to trowel concrete, use walk behind trowels and riders and clean up of all machines after use.
  • Layout & saw cutting of concrete control joints as necessary.
  • Cure and seal concrete and cleaning of sprayers after use.
  • Clean up of concrete and jobsite after completion of job, i.e., scrape columns, expansion joints, windows, doors, walls, saw cuts, etc.
  • Assists in all laborer and concrete carpenter tasks as necessary and when time allows.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by job supervisor.

Requirements:

JOB SUPERVISOR (FOREMAN)
Job Expectations:

The expectations for this position are to assure the completion of each job assigned while maintaining the complete satisfaction of the General Contractor. To monitor and supervise manpower to assure maximum productivity, minimal cost and minimal risk to employees and to the company. To maintain a professional and good quality image for the company at all times.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervises assigned crew. Evaluates performance and disciplines as required.
  • Responsible for layout of job and reading of blueprints.
  • Completes required paperwork, such as timesheets, units of production, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Assures compliance with safety and OSHA regulations on the jobsite.
  • Assures all equipment necessary to complete the job is at the jobsite.
  • Assures all materials necessary to complete the job are at the jobsite.
  • Works directly with General Superintendent on coordination of manpower, equipment and materials.
  • Coordinates job details and requests with General Contractor while maintaining a professional image for the Company.
  • Fills in where necessary on the job crew to assure satisfactory completion of the job.
  • Assures satisfactory clean up of job at the end of each day and at the completion of each job.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by General Superintendent.
  • Follows OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Follows the rules, regulations, policy, guidelines, etc. of Lorne G. Seifert, LLC.

Job Expectations:

The expectations for this position are consistently assist all trades personnel on the jobsite to assure satisfactory and timely completion of each job as requested by the General Contractor.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Carrying materials to and from designated areas on the jobsite as necessary.
  • Raking and shoveling.
  • Loading and unloading trailers.
  • Using wheelbarrow to transport debris and materials to designated areas on the jobsite.
  • Placement of rebar and wire.
  • Placement of plastic.
  • Complete clean up of jobsite at the end of each day and at the completion of each job.
  • Clean up of all concrete tools when pour is completed.
  • All other duties as assigned by Job Supervisor.
  • Follows OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Follows the rules, regulations, policy, guidelines, etc. of Lorne G. Seifert, LLC.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently and repetitively.
  • Must have experience in the use of hand tools such as, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and the like.
  • Must have acceptable attendance; abide by company policies and the ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to work required hours as requested by the General Superintendent.
LEAD PERSON
Job Expectations:

The expectations for this position are to consistently complete the work as required by their specific trade on each job to assure the complete satisfaction of the General Contractor. To maintain a good quality image for the company. Must be seen as a leader and has the ability to fill in for the Job Supervisor as required.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Completes all job tasks as required by their specific trade.
  • Responsible for layout by using required instruments.
  • Assist the Job Supervisor in their tasks.

In the Job Supervisor’s absence, is responsible for the following tasks and assists the Job Supervisor as follows:

  • Supervises assigned crew. Evaluates performance and disciplines as required.
